Why Deadline Alerts Matter

Missing a USPTO response deadline can result in abandonment of your patent application. Abigail calculates deadlines automatically from Office Action mailing dates and tracks them on your docket.

Configuring Alerts

Go to Settings and select the Notifications tab. You can enable email alerts, SMS alerts, or both. Set how many days before a deadline you want to be notified (for example, 30 days, 14 days, and 3 days before).

SMS Setup

For SMS alerts, enter your phone number and verify it with a one-time code. SMS alerts are sent for critical deadlines only (within 7 days of expiration) to avoid notification fatigue.

Quiet Hours

You can set quiet hours to prevent notifications during off-hours. Notifications are queued and delivered when quiet hours end.
