Claims Visualizer: Rejection Resolver (Step 3)

Navigate every rejection in your Office Action with structured argument strategies, amendment suggestions, and direct links to the cited evidence.

1

Open the Rejection Resolver

Click "3. Rejection Resolver" in the Claims Visualizer tabs. Each rejection from the Office Action is listed with its basis (101, 102, 103, 112, etc.), the affected claims, and the cited references.

Step 1: Open the Rejection Resolver
2

Rejection Cards

Each rejection is displayed as a card showing: the statutory basis, the specific section cited, the affected claim numbers, and the prior art references relied upon. Cards are color-coded by rejection type.

3

View Examiner Assertions

Click a rejection card to expand the examiner assertions section. This shows exactly what the examiner claims -- which elements are allegedly taught by which reference, and the specific passages cited.

4

AI Argument Strategies

For each rejection, Abigail provides argument strategies ranked by strength. These include: distinguishing arguments (elements not taught), motivation-to-combine rebuttals (for 103), and specification support (for 112). Each argument cites specific evidence.

Pro Tip

Arguments are ranked by strength based on analysis of PTAB appeal outcomes for similar rejection patterns.

5

Amendment Suggestions

When argument alone may not overcome a rejection, Abigail suggests claim amendments. These appear as tracked changes showing exactly what to add, modify, or delete. Click "Apply to Canvas" to insert the amendment into your draft response.

6

Link to Prior Art

Each cited reference in the rejection is clickable. Clicking opens the full document in the document viewer, scrolled to the relevant passage. This lets you verify the examiner citations without leaving the dashboard.

7

Resolve and Track Progress

As you address each rejection, mark it as "Resolved" to track your progress. The workflow bar at the top shows completion percentage across all rejections. Unresolved rejections are flagged so nothing is missed.
